For as little as 250 pesos, you can help save the habitat of the Philippine Eagles while also saving the future of Mother Earth.
The Philippine Eagle is an endangered majestic bird that thrives in deep forests. Today, the Philippine Eagle Foundation located in Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City, Philippines is a non-government organization that saves the eagles and protects their habitat. They launched a “plant for the future” program where any person can adopt a tree for Php250 per tree. You can include a personalized message in the tree planted to your name. You can pay through Gcash or Paypal. Once the tree is planted, you can track it using the credentials that the organization will send to your email.

To celebrate my birthday, I adopted a tree. A small contribution is a great help for the future. What I like about this program is that the organization will not only plant a tree but will also maintain and track them. The following are the necessary steps that they added to make sure that your money will not go to waste:
Nursery Care
Seedlings sourced from partner communities will be nurtured by our nursery technician until they reach a meter in height and are transplant-ready.
Site Preparation
For optimal growth, PEC maintain a 2×2 planting distance, weed removal prevents competition, and use site-specific techniques like modified mounding in water-logged areas.
Planting
The project follows a planting protocol: sun-loving species in open areas, shade-loving trees in partially shaded spots, and water-tolerant species in water-logged areas. We also mix tree species for biodiversity.
Maintenance
Our IP communities will care for your trees with tasks like weeding, pruning, climber cutting, propping, and bracing. We’ll replace dead plants with new, healthy seedlings.
Monitoring
Our dedicated Planting for the Future Monitoring Web tool will track tree progress. IP partners will be trained to identify plants and record GPS coordinates, tree height, and diameter.
Database
Through our “Planting for the Future” database, tree parents can track their trees’ location and progress from the nursery to the planting site. Updates will be provided based on monitoring frequency.
The Philippine Eagle Foundation started in 1965 to preserve and conserve the declining Philippine Eagle species in the Philippines. To ensure that the eagles will have a future, the foundation launched the three million trees project.
Apart from adopting a tree, you can also donate to the center or adopt other Philippine endemic animals that live in the Philippine Eagle Center such as the Philippine warty pig, Philippine brown deer, and Philippine long-tailed macaque for as little as PHP100. There animals are found only in the Philippines and you can help ensure their future.
